Devoted followers of Ariana Grande are demanding that a man who leaped a barricade and grabbed the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A circulating video shows the Australian man shoving aside media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the performers proceeded down a event pathway surrounded by fans.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "free after being detained", though official papers revealed that he was scheduled to appear on the following morning. It is uncertain if he was charged.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram feed includes recordings of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney concert in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last winter.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is evidently a punishable act," stated an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Several supporters accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented a further response on Instagram.

Several fans also faulted guards at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals demanded online networks to ban Mr Wen's videos.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In footage circulating online, Grande appeared surprised when she was approached by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Hundreds of fans had gathered in a sea of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had queued for as long as eight hours before it began.

The motion picture, to be released on November 21, is the sequel of a two-film version of the acclaimed Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which centers on the unexpected relationship between two distinct witches.

The musical itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was adorned in a rosé sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful film of last year in the UK, and received 10 award recognitions, securing several for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
