The return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense excitement across the community. From the gradual reveal of newcomers before the title's release, to players forming firm opinions on the full roster of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.

With numerous of the Super Forms boasting distinctive designs that emphasize their traits, one idea came to mind: How can connect this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a blend of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.

The Ram – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndoom was almost selected for this fire sign, as they are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as constantly furious, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being playful, light-hearted, and impulsive. Observe this absolute royalty. It's impossible to tell me this Pokémon is not the soul of every party, providing an endless stream of chatter to anyone who wants to hear. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's very easy to imagine Mega Medicham mesmerizing an entire open area with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its ability to foresee an opponent's next moves, which seems very similar to a people-smart Gemini.

Cancer – Super Manectric

The Crab is commonly regarded as the most emotional sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate sign known for often becoming wrapped up in their emotions. Per the official info, Super Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “tremendous quantity of electricity, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to completely control,” which sounds a lot like a typical Crab emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also recognized for its ability to make a thundercloud over its own self – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is likely to do, it’s rain on their own parade.

Leo – Mega Starmie

Oh, did you assume I was going to select the lion Pokémon for the king of the stars? Players couldn’t look away from the violet starfish, and that’s exactly the identical energy a Leo offers to the table. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Leo to be staging a show, albeit for aliens.

Virgo – Mega Victreebel

The always-ready and constantly-worried Virgo is ideally represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual digestive issues. The zodiac symbol famous for being charmingly judgmental is strongly mirrored across this Pokémon’s entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Maiden when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its upside-down face that’s just like the emoji a Maiden sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a plan.

Libra – Super Audino

Observe this sweet, sensitive being, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how others are emotionally by their heartbeat. Always compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and striving to keep the peace, there are numerous Scales who would likely benefit from Mega Audino’s abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would likely just make them stress more about everyone else.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly tragic origin: Discarded as a doll, it gained consciousness through sheer hatred and swore retribution on its former owner. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpio friends. A Scorpio loves karma and retribution, making them the perfect match with Mega Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are always staging a performance. Being a Sagittarius myself, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “playful small entertainer” is innumerable. The showiest and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “flexes to show off its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer match I can think of.

Capricorn – Mega Absol

Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to predict disasters in advance? That gives the identical energy as a Capricorn, who tends to consistently think they’re right. The thing is, similar to a prophetic Super Absol, they often are.
